The Aces Youth Home (ACES), will hold its second annual Holiday Tour of Homes in Jasper. Presented by Piedmont Mountainside, this year's tour will take place on Saturday, December 7th from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm. The tour this year will feature five decorated homes down South Main Street and a final stop which includes an open house at the Southern Appalachian Folk School in the former Sharptop Arts building.

Our featured home for this week will include The Davenport Group home now owned by Rachel Davenport. The home is located at 634 South Main Street. Rachel purchased the home in 2018, and the home is currently used as The Davenport Group of Keller Williams Pickens office.

The home at 1165 South Main Street was built in the 1865. The lot was originally part of a 160-acre tract and was purchased in 1854 by John Richards. The garage, kitchen and dining room were added in the 1950s and was owned by Mr. and Ms. J. S. Darnell. Maxine Moore purchased the home in 2003 and sold the home in 2007 to Robert Keller and Kathleen Keller. Extensive renovations were done on the home between 2007 and 2013. Rachel is very excited about the opportunity to show off this beautiful historic home on the Tour!

Tickets may be purchased for $25 online at acesyouthhome.org or Community Bank of Pickens County, Jasper Drug Store, Designs on Main, Piedmont Mountainside Gift Shop, or Renasant Bank. Tickets can also be purchased from any ACES board member. Online tickets will include a $1 convenience fee, and tickets purchased the day of the tour will be $30.

Free shuttle service will be available from First Baptist Church, Jasper United Methodist Church, and behind the Mountain Education Center (former Jasper Middle School). Parking in public lots downtown will also be available. Individual and business sponsorships are also available. For more information about becoming involved with ACES, email aces@acesyouthhome.org or call 706-253-2375.
