Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 11th of May 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:

1. Jackey Cantrell, to rezone a 17.75-acre tract known as parcel 065 084, 1369 Fairview Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, from Agricultural (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create buildable lots.

2. Talking Rock Winery, LLC, to rezone a 19.6-acres of a 29.61-acre tract known as parcel 002 001 007, 119 Inland Drive, Jasper, GA 30143, from Agricultural (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to create buildable lots.

3. John Edward Gier to rezone a 1.2-acre tract known as parcel 062A 038, located at 2297 Henderson Mountain Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is for Special Use for a group home.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on June 15th, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
