❌ The Municipal Elections scheduled for November 4, 2025, in both the City of Nelson and the Town of Talking Rock have been officially cancelled pursuant to O.C.G.A. §21-2-291 and §21-2-325. All candidates have qualified unopposed and will be deemed elected.

🗳️ On November 4, 2025, voters in Pickens County will decide whether to approve a $40,000 homestead exemption from school district ad valorem taxes for residents aged 62 or older whose annual income does not exceed $40,000. This exemption applies to taxes for educational purposes. This referendum is authorized under Act 342, HB 841, signed by Governor Brian Kemp on May 14, 2025.
