Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 12th day of May 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss:
1. A request from Scott and Cassidy Maney to rezone 3-acres of a 10.34-acre tract known as parcel 040 032, located at 146 High Meadow Lane, from Estate Residential (ER) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create two additional residential lots.
2. A request from Kevin Moss to rezone a .54-acre tract known as parcel 033 158, located at 2500 Hwy 136 Connector, from Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is for a Seasonal Fruit Stand.
3. A request from Jimmy Cagle to rezone a 9.35-acre tract known as parcel 032 063 001, located at Highway 53 West, from Agricultural (AG) to Highway Business (HB) / Small Agricultural (SA). The purpose of this request is sale .5-acre tract zoned Highway Business (HB) to neighboring property and to retain the remaining 8.85-acre tract as Small Agricultural (SA).
4. A request from David Gaddis to rezone a 34.74-acre tract known as parcel 016 019, located at Big Ridge Road, from Agricultural (AG) to Small Agricultural (SA). The purpose of this request is to create five Small Agricultural (SA) lots.
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on June 16, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
