Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 9th day of June 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss:
1. Matthew and Diane Kinzer to rezone a 14.15-acre tract known as parcel 040 068 001, located at Hwy 53 West, from Agriculture (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to create two lots.
2. Joyace Jones to rezone a .72-acre portion of a 39.46-acre tract known as parcel 050B 008, located at Highway 53 East, from Agricultural (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to add the .72-acres to neighboring property to create a conforming lot.
3. A request from Adam Harper to rezone an 11.57-acre tract known as parcel 025 003, located at Mountain Laurel Lane, from Agricultural (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to create a 7 Lot Subdivision.
4. Stan Fitts for a Conditional-Use Permit on a 247.96-acre tract, known as parcels 063 013, 063 103 029, 063 103 030, located at 350 Camp Dobbs Road, to allow for Winery, Tasting Room, Farm Store, Small Events, and Cooking Classes.
5. Richard Paulsen for a Conditional-Use Permit on a 14.3-acre tract, known as parcel 067D 090 002, located at 131 Reavis Road, to allow for Small Events.
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on July 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
