Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 8th of December 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:

1. Daniel Barrett to rezone a 1.5-acre of a 19- acre tract known as parcel 030A 101, located at 1750 Talking Rock Road, Jasper, GA 30143, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to sell the home with 1.5-acres.

2. Hannah & Craig Jones on behalf of Scott Bruce to rezone an 8.60-acre tract known as parcel 037 047, located at 11025 Highway 53 West, Talking Rock, GA 30175, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create a buildable lot.

3. Easy Money Ventures, LLC to rezone a 66.55-acre tract known as parcel 010 029, located at 187 Old Jones Mountain Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, from Agriculture (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to complete a subdivision that was previously initiated.

4. Sherri Taylor to rezone a 0.75-acre tract known as parcel 013 011, located at Highway 136 W, Jasper, GA 30143, from Highway Business (HB) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to combine the 0.75-acre to a neighboring lot.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on January 20, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
