Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 9th of March 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:
1. Jordan Deenney on behalf of Sean Catlett to rezone a 10.44-acre tract known as parcel #054 097, located on Hawthorne Hill Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, from Agricultural (AG) to Small Agriculture (SA). The purpose of this request is to create an additional buildable lot.
2. Andrea Aranguren on behalf of Alejandro Nava rezone a .56-acre tract known as parcel #030D 002, located on 339 Northside Drive, Jasper, GA 30143, from Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to establish a family-owned vehicle sales business.
3. Daniel & Carolyn Childers, a 6.21-acre tract known as parcel #013 006, located on 662 Keetor Rd, Talking Rock, GA 30175, from Agricultural (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create an additional buildable lot.
4. Nancy Maddox on behalf of Galloway Construction & Consulting INC., a 1.93-acre tract known as parcel #JA02 036, located at 1273 Talking Rock Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, from Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to market the property for a contractor's establishment or a service-oriented business.
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on April 20th, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 16th of March 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Conference Room, Suite 168, located at the Pickens County
Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Pickens County Board of Commissioners.
The purpose of this hearing is to discuss a request from Craig & Shannon Reed to rezone 66.03-acres, known as parcels 009 012 001, 009 012 002 and 009 012 006, located at 225 Reeds Ridge Trail and Sutton Road from Rural Residential (RR) to Agriculture (AG). The purpose of this request is to preserve the current agriculture, nature and rural characteristics of the area.
