NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with the City of Jasper Zoning Ordinance Sec. 94-244 and applicable provisions of state law, the Planning Commission will hold a public meeting will be on May 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at 200 Burnt Mountain Road, Jasper, Georgia. The purpose of this hearing is to review and consider a proposed text amendment to Section 94-117(e)(6), Off-Street Parking for Nonresidential Uses (Design Standards) of the City of Jasper Zoning Ordinance. The proposed amendment would revise the design requirements for off-street parking and storage spaces to read as follows:

"All off-street automobile parking and storage spaces shall be so arranged that vehicles will not be required to back onto a public street, road, or highway when leaving the premises, except on one-way roadways."

In accordance with Sec. 94-245, a Public Hearing will be held before the Mayor and City Council on June 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at Chattahoochee Technical College - Appalachian Campus, Fannin Hall, 100 Campus Drive, Jasper, Georgia. All persons interested in this matter are invited to attend the public hearing and be heard. A copy of the proposed amendment and all associated documents are available for public inspection at the City of Jasper Planning and Development Office, located at 200 Burnt Mountain Road, Jasper, Georgia, during normal business hours.
