Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 8th of June 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:

1. Lisa Ann Quinton, to rezone a 7.5-acres of a 17.76-acre tract and a 1.5-acre tract known as parcels 069 027 001 and 069 027 011, located at Red Hawk Trail, Ball Ground, GA 30107, and 740 Eagle Perch Rd, Ball Ground, GA 30107 from Agricultural (AG) to Estate Residential (ER) and Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create buildable lots.

2. Tiana Law on behalf of Rene Bastidas, to rezone a 3.64-acres of a 34.46-acre tract known as parcel 011 022, Fisher Creek Rd, Talking Rock, GA 30175, from Agricultural (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to create a buildable lot for a single family residence.

3. Lea M. Kanakaris-McMillan on behalf of M. Goodwin and 14 Gateway Drive LL, to rezone a 1.04-acre tract known as parcel 020 032 009, 5051 Hwy 136 West, Talking Rock, GA 30175, from Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to establish a Christian Day Care.

4. Daniel Greenberg, to rezone 3.0-acre tract and a 8.56-acre tract known as parcels 011 037 002 and 011 037 008, 254 Biguns Blvd and 0 Biguns Blvd, Talking Rock, GA 30175, from Rural Residential (RR) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to establish a campground site and coffee shop.

5. Jeff Miller on behalf of Harold Kimsey Wood Jr. to rezone 17-acre tract known as parcels 053D 043, 3418 Refuge Rd, Jasper, GA 30143, from Rural Residential (RR) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC). The purpose of this request is for relocation of an administration office.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on July 20th, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
