Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 13th of July 2026 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:
1. Dena Keeter, to rezone a 13.32+/--acre tract known as parcel 018 019, located Highway 136 Connector, Talking Rock, GA, 30175 from Agricultural (AG) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to allow for commercial use.
2. Landmark Property Services, LLC, to rezone a 8.1-acre tract known as parcel 049 040 002, located on Highway 53 East, Jasper, GA 30143 from Agricultural (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create buildable lots
3. Ricky & Tammy Jarrett, to rezone a 10-acre tract known as parcel 065B 004, located at 1057 Waleska Hwy 108, Jasper, GA 30143 from Agricultural (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to create buildable lot.
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on August 17th, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
