Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 9th day of December 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from:

1. Roy Donald Brady to rezone a 8.084-acre tract, known as parcel 012 073, located at 1075 Waters Edge Circle, from Urban Residential (UR) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to correct zoning to adjust boundary lines for property.

2. Shaun Elliot to rezone a 3.88-acre portion of a 15.78-acre parcel, known as parcel 020 016, located at 5770 Highway 136 West, from Agriculture (AG) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to be able to build a shop for commercial equipment.

3. Robert Burton on behalf of Southern Property Investing and Development LLC to rezone a 27.2-acre tract, known as parcel 034 084 002, located on Stone Crest Road, from Agriculture (AG) to Small Agriculture (SA). The purpose of this request is to divide the parent parcel into 5 lots.

4. Brandon Roland to rezone a 15.12-acre portion of a 34.72-acre tract, known as parcel 018 030 004, located on Highway 136 Connector, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to develop an 8-lot subdivision.

5. Hanna Braswell on behalf of Kristin Braswell to rezone a 1.5017-acre portion of a 31.86-acre tract, known as parcel 045 006 003, located at 558 Fitts Road, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to combine portion with an adjoining parcel.

6. David Shouse on behalf of Thompson Lane Dreams LLC to rezone a combined 4.34-acre portion of parcels known as 033 129 & 033 129 002, located at 370 Thompson Lane, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to separate home from existing lot and create a new buildable lot.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on January 22nd, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 16th day of December 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Conference Room, Suite 168, located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Pickens County Board of Commissioners.

The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from Dan Pool on behalf of Pool's Farm LLC to rezone a 15-acre parcel, known as parcel #051 003 003, located at 7546 Highway 53 East from Rural Residential (RR) to Agriculture (AG). The purpose of this request is to combine with adjoining property.
