[ September 26, 2018 ] The Jasper City Council held a town hall meeting after announcing considering changes to the garbage service. This could affect city customers in that rates may increase, back door pick-up may no longer be available (or would be an additional cost to the customer), as well as daily garbage pick-up may no longer be offered.

Two proposals were presented and general consensus from the audience is that they would pay more to continue to have the city handle the service. Many kudos given to the city employees handling the garbage service currently.
